He is viewed as the promoter of civilization, a lawgiver, and lover of peace — as well as the patron deity of both agriculture and the theater.
Also connected to things that release the soul from the body and are associated with a life of licentiousness: wine, music, love, sleep and death.
Wine, music, love and sleep, that's four out of five, definitely my type of god.
was inspired by a story i read-> [link] (it's in hebrew)
so i took out some very old lineart of mine and colored it in photoshop.
to tell you the truth, i'm really pleased with how this came out, hope you like it too,

I agree that it came out well - the colors are very well contrasted, but I wonder: why are his hands glowing?
It's very fitting for Dionysus. The modern wine glass throws me off a bit, though. A recent course I took on Classical Literature and Art told us of Plato's Symposium and how they would drink from these flat, clay bowl-like wine glasses.
